The ALCDSB Applied Behaviour Analysis Team welcomed the Honourable Todd Smith, Minister of Education, school board trustees and members of the senior team to St. Michael Catholic School this week to learn about the Board’s the Ready, Set, School Program.

The ALCDSB social work team invites families of students in Kindergarten through grade 12 to attend ‘School Avoidance Anxiety’, a virtual session for caregivers to learn about how anxiety impacts students and what families can do to support students in getting to and being successful at school.

Every year, the ALCDSB organizes an Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation Golf Tournament.

The ALCDSB International Education Homestay program is seeking host families for International students attending secondary schools in Kingston and Belleville during the 2024-2025 school year.

In June, we in Catholic Education, recognize both The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Pride month concurrently. As such, the ALCDSB has a beautiful opportunity to celebrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and compassionate love for all with distinctively Catholic language and a faith-based perspective.

Catholics are called to devote the month of June to meditating on the Sacred Heart, and to deepening their commitment to imitate the compassionate love of Jesus.

This year the ALCDSB celebrates National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) from May 27 – May 30.

On the Friday, May 31, 2024, Professional Activity Day, ALCDSB elementary teachers will be working on the completion of student report cards.
